Mixed-Level Classes: Translating the Light

Tuesdays and Fridays, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Weekly | $50

Open to all levels of experience. However, if you're a complete beginner, we recommend taking a beginner class first.

In this 3-hour class, instructor Betsy Jacaruso will guide you in interpreting the landscape from photo reference to a successful composition. We will explore various watercolor techniques, color mixing, and value, while encouraging each artist’s individual style and sensibility. We’ll finish with a share and discussion of our work.

Reach out if you have questions or would like us to provide supplies for your first class. After your first class, all students should bring their own supplies.

Please review our cancellation policy. Supplies can be rented for an additional fee at registration.

Beginner Watercolor II Workshop

Fall 2025 TBA — $150

This workshop is a continuation of Beginner 1, where we will build on our understanding of color mixing and painting light through a still life exercise. In the second half, we’ll work on a local river scene, applying what we learned from the Beginner 1 moonscape while incorporating more colors, elements, and textures.

Please review our cancellation policy. Supplies can be rented for an additional fee at registration.
